The baby reading this might ask "why am I a baby who can understand this substack? Don't most babies lack language? Isn't the fact that I can understand all of this surprising"?

But this is not so!

Because if you lacked language you wouldn't have the experience of reading this substack and noticing that you don't understand it.

You wouldn't even be an observer to the question!

You should only reason as though you were a randomly selected observer so given that you are able to ask the question: "should I be able to understand a substack about antropics as a baby"? It is not surprising that you can then answer the question in the affirmative.

This is why the substack is written in English and not in a sequence of "waa waa goo goo gaa spit spoot ptss hehehe waaa fart" noises.

It is only meant for the subset of babies who browse substack and can read.
